Battery recycling awareness in the UNRWA schools

In collaboration with the Canadian embassy, BEEATOONA launched its project “Battery Recycling for a Better Environment” in the UNRWA schools, during a training workshop for teachers which was held at “Haifa School”, Bir Hassan, on Friday, February 12, 2010, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

BEEATOONA gathered more than 30 computer teachers and health tutors, coming from 7 different camps, and trained them on the dangers of used batteries, how can they contaminate the environment, and the steps that can be taken in order to reduce the damages on the nature. The teachers seemed highly concerned and alerted, actively participating in the discussions, maximizing their knowledge in the matter, in order to transfer the information that they collected to their students, accompanied by the informative documents which were provided to them by BEEATOONA team.
